Alex

Hello, I’m Alex, a person-centred counsellor with Calm Journey. I’m here to offer you a space to share what you’re experiencing right now. That might be a change you’re facing, a feeling of sadness or anxiety, stuckness or emptiness, or some other challenge, and there may be one or many sources of challenge: mental health, physical health, your relationship with yourself, your relationships with others, work-life, home-life…
I’ll be alongside you to help explore, in as much depth as feels right for you at the time. Sometimes it can feel significant just to voice how you’re feeling, to be heard without judgement. Sometimes the exploration will give you some clarity on how to move through the things that aren’t feeling right, or lead you towards acceptance of how things are.

What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly.
Carl Rogers (a founder of the person-centred approach)

This quote holds strong significance for me, the permission to be myself, guilt-free, and an always-welcome reminder that good enough is good enough.
If there are thoughts and feelings that leave you feeling not good enough or not yourself, we can be curious about these together, noticing where self-criticism shows up and what it says.
You’ll be in control in our counselling sessions, we’ll work at your pace, and together we may be able to gain some insight about your challenges and how you are living with them.
It means a lot to me to be able to offer this to you, to be by your side. I look forward to hearing from you.

My primary focuses include:
Person-Centred experiential therapy
