Hi, I’m Hannah, a student person- centred practitioner at Calm Journey.
I have a degree in psychology and counselling working primarily in a person-centred approach.
I have gained a wealth of experience while working in a mental health hospital. During this period, I worked with both the child and adult services, supporting and dealing with a variety of mental health conditions including: Depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, addiction, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia and other psychosis.
I am certified in using dialectical behavioural therapy, CBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy-advanced level, gestalt psychotherapy and attachment behaviour in the counselling room.
I was drawn to counselling to try and bring joy to my little corner of the world. Through my studies, training, life experience and my own experience of therapy, I have acquired the ability to support clients in a way that is best suited to their personal and individual needs. I pride myself on my warm presence, non-judgemental personality and listening skills. I work profusely in a person-centred style with elements of other theories to create a way of working that focuses on the client’s unique needs.
