Marion
Hi I am Marion a person centred therapist and supervisor at Calm Journey.
I work with adults facing a range of emotional difficulties.
I have experience in supporting individuals and families living with life limiting or terminal illness I am experienced in working in Oncology and supporting those navigating treatment with the psychological challenges that accompany the physical challenges.
I hold a certificate in Child and adolescent bereavement which informs my practice and my understanding of grief and loss across the lifespan.
I have lived experience of adoption and offer the opportunity to explore the impact of early separation and the complex feelings surrounding adoptive or biological families.
Having a background in the arts I understand the value of creative expression without the complexity of language. If appropriate I will integrate the use of visual art, creative writing or storytelling into our work.
Beginning therapy can be daunting, it can feel painful emotionally draining or even frightening. Having a regular protected time to sit with someone who is genuine, curious, non judgemental and able to listen can help you find clarity understanding and a stronger sense of who you are. Although you may arrive with a specific concern I remain open to working with whatever arises as we work together following your lead on what feels most important.
Therapy is a gift to yourself, a space to reflect, be heard and move toward a more fulfilled and grounded way of living.
