Alex

Hello, I’m Alex, a person-centred counsellor with Calm Journey. I offer a calm, accepting space where you can share whatever you’re experiencing right now, whether that’s sadness, anxiety, overwhelm, feeling stuck, or struggling to feel like yourself.

Life can bring challenges from so many places: mental or physical health, changes in relationships, pressures at work or home, or an inner critic that feels louder than you’d like. You don’t have to hold it all by yourself.

In our sessions, I’ll be right alongside you, exploring things gently and at your pace. Sometimes just having the space to say things out loud, without judgement or expectation, can feel like a huge release. Other times, our exploration can bring clarity, understanding, or a sense of acceptance.

A quote that holds deep meaning for me is from Carl Rogers: “What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly.”
It reminds me of the permission to be myself, without guilt or pressure. If you’re living with thoughts or feelings that leave you doubting your worth or questioning who you are, we can explore these together with curiosity and compassion.

You’ll always be in control of our sessions. My role is simply to walk beside you as we make sense of your experiences and how they’re affecting your life. If you’d like to reach out and see whether we might be a good fit, I’d really welcome hearing from you.

My primary focuses include:
Person-Centred experiential therapy

Person Centred
Person-centred therapy, also known as person-centred or client-centred counselling, is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.
