Jo
Hi I’m Jo, a Counsellor based at Calm Journey Therapy in Eastbourne.
I offer a calm, welcoming, and confidential space where you can talk openly and honestly, without fear of judgment or pressure. Therapy is your time and space, and together we work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, building a trusting and supportive relationship.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or emotionally exhausting. Therapy can provide the time away from everyday life to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences more deeply, helping you gain a greater understanding, self-awareness, and clarity. Working from a Person-Centred approach, I can also integrate tools into our work to support goal-oriented outcomes, as directed by you.
I work with adults aged 18+ from all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life. I welcome and support people of all genders, adult ages, cultures, religions, races, sexualities, financial circumstances, education levels, and disabilities.
I support clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including:

Person Centred
Person-centred therapy, also known as person-centred or client-centred counselling, is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.
